Is it becoming really difficult for you to cope up with the ever-changing world of social media? Well, say no more. Life is as easy as you handle it.
You need to ask yourself if you wanna be part of it or not.
It is okay if you don’t enjoy it or get jealous or feel left out when people discuss “Battle of Bastards” from GOT and you have no clue what the fuck they are talking about.
You cannot change people (this is regarding their over involvement in social media). People always do what suits them and you should do the same, after all, you live only once. You should live life on your terms.
There are two types of people in this world: One’s who enjoy social media and one’s who don’t. Period.
I read it everywhere (it’s literally everywhere), that to seek peace or to reinvent yourself or be happy,
You need to get away from social media sites or technology.
I personally find this BS. This might be a reason you are taking this much pressure to cope up with this new changing world.
Social Media sites do make our life a little bit complicated but that is how everybody’s life is, Complicated! (Quoting Tyrion Lannister GOT). See, this is how you use social media to convey your thoughts, for yourself.
The reason humans have survived this long is adaptability. You adapt to things. You adapt to changes. Change is the only constant. So, If you really really wanna be a part of it, you will eventually.
But, If you wanna be a part of this network because of the society, then just don’t.
Be yourself, the world will adjust.
Now from a social media enthusiast’s point of view, some good things about social media. As a 90’s kid I grew up doing this shit and I gotta admit, I love this shit. It takes out all the boredom, as you always have something to do, something to read, something to watch.
What you need to do is make it useful for YOURSELF.
Don’t overdo it.
Don’t get indulge into things or information you don’t wanna be part of. For example, if you are into science and you’re reading about lady gaga’s upcoming concert, then you’re using it wrong.
Your social network will either help you rise or bring you down. Populate it with people of intelligence, excellence, integrity, and creativity.
If you want to be part of it, it’s really simple. Make an account on popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and use them whenever you are sitting idle.
There are brilliant people working for these companies and they make things easier for you. You like what you see; they have many many algorithms which will only show you things you wanna see (It’s called “Artificial Intelligence”).
Social media has become very very advance and it’s not that hard to use or cope up with. So go out there, tweet something and make yourself proud or useful.
